Exciting news from our corporate headquarters in Franklin! CEI has signed the contract and was awarded General Contractor for Phase II of ICON at Hardin Valley in Knoxville. We are excited to partner with Braxton Development on another first-class multifamily community.

Several team members took off for the afternoon and headed over to Second Harvest Food Bank where they packed emergency food boxes for local residents in need, The event was huge success and CEI met their goal of packing over 250 boxes of food!

To kick off the start of fall, CEI participated in AGC of Middle Tennessee’s annual BBQ in Red Shoes cookoff. The mission of the event is to help cover annual operational costs for the Ronald McDonald House in Nashville. A special thanks to our grill masters Brent Smith, Ryan Cox, Haydon Barrow, and Bain Adams for the outstanding ribs and chicken!

Today was one for the books. CEI was named General Contractor on 2 different multifamily projects. After months of working side by side with longtime clients of ours, we were able to reach the finish line...and break ground! Congratulations Pre-Con, now it's time for our PM's and Field teams to get to work.

CEI has begun awarded General Contractor on a new multifamily project in Charlotte, North Carolina, Trevi Village. When completed the project will include 7 buildings; a mix of 3/4 split and 4 story, Type V wood-framed structures with elevators, clubhouse and amenities.

CEI was recently awarded contractor for a new multifamily project in Madison, Tennessee, The Northern. The garden style project will include 283 units in four 3-4 split buildings, with a clubhouse and amenities.

Team CEI was honored with the Build TN Award of Excellence from AGC of Middle Tennessee for the recent completion of the urban mid-rise project The Landing at One Beale. The project was delivered earlier that anticipated and under budget.

CEI team members spent the afternoon volunteering at Second Harvest Food Bank in Smyrna, TN. Altogether they packed over 400 emergency food boxes for locals in need after a recent tornado came through Middle Tennessee.

CEI was recently awarded General Contractor for The Duke at MetroCenter, a new multifamily project in Nashville, Tennessee. The urban midrise development will include 194 units in a 5-story wrap style building and 7-story cast-in-place garage.

CEI will be traveling to several colleges to attend Career Fairs this month. Included in the list of visits are Auburn University, University of Tennessee Knoxville, Middle Tennessee State University, and University of Tennessee Chattanooga. We're looking to fill internship positions and Project Field Engineer positions for recent college graduates.

Team CEI and their families gathered to celebrate Nashville's Inaugural Big Machine Music City Grand Prix. The event was the first IndyCar and NTT series event of its kind to race through the streets of downtown Nashville!
CEI was recently awarded General Contractor for the new Hawkins Crossing project in Longview, Texas. The garden style development will include 272 units in six three-story buildings. In addition, there will be detached garage buildings, carports, clubhouse, and state-of-the-art amenities. We'll be breaking ground this month, stay tuned for more exciting details.

With great excitement CEI hosted our annual Spring Crawfish Boil and Cornhole Tournament! Though the weather was questionable, the food was anything but! Our Estimators, Project managers, Executives, and Accounting departments all gathered outside for the feast. We look forward to this event every year and love to enjoy the food, fellowship, and fun with our CEI family!

The Great Tennessee Air Show -Our first family outing for 2021, and it was a hit! Team CEI, along with their families all gathered for an afternoon of fun at Hollingshead Aviation. The show included US Special Ops parachute team, Quicksilver P51 Mustang, Navy Legacy Flight F-35, and the amazing US Air Thunderbirds.

This week we attended our first in-person career fair since 2019! The socially distant event took place at the McWhorter School of Building Science at Auburn University. In addition to our visit to Auburn, CEI participated in several virtual career fairs online. CEI provides hands on internships for college students every summer,

We at CEI are excited to announce the ground breaking of the new Metro Center Flats in downtown Nashville. The urban mid-rise wrap will include 118 units in four 3-4 split buildings with clubhouse, totaling 99, 416 net rentable s.f. The project is scheduled to begin in the upcoming weeks. In the spirit of giving back to our community, CEI kicked off its annual holiday drive on Giving Tuesday, December 1st. With the support of our community, we collected an overwhelming amount of food and toys to be donated to The Manger, a holiday event hosted by GraceWorks Ministries in Franklin, TN.
