SENIOR  SUPERINTENDENT

CEI is now hiring experienced Superintendents to join our team.

CEI specializes in multifamily wood-framing construction, including garden-style, mid-rise, and student housing projects from ground up. This position will be based throughout the Dallas Metroplex suburb and surrounding areas.

 

The ideal candidate will be comfortable overseeing the entire operation of the construction site and shall manage the projects from initial planning to completion based upon our CORE VALUES of Integrity, Safety, Can Do Attitude, Communication, Teamwork, Change, and Accountability. They should be able to determine and address any risk areas to maintain the safety and schedule of the workers and project. This candidate should be experienced in communicating and scheduling all project milestones with site personnel, subcontractors, clients, and other necessary parties for a timely completion of the project, along with successful budgetary management.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for day-to-day supervision of all field-related construction activities.

  • Ensuring that all projects are performed in accordance with contractual and quality standards and meet code compliance.

  • Scheduling and directing the daily activities of work with all subcontractors and suppliers and taking necessary action to assure that the project objectives of cleanliness, safety, price, schedule, quality, and process are met.

  • Scheduling and managing material procurement and quantities.

  • Development, procurement, and enforcement of safety policies and procedures.

  • Maintaining daily paperwork, field reports, schedule updates, and E-mail correspondence to keep the various people involved with the project informed of important issues.

  • Implementing incremental project schedules that make sure upcoming events are on track and are being proactively addressed.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Must be able to manage subcontractors and have excellent communication and leadership skills.

  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years of lead project superintendent experience in general contracting (concrete, multifamily wood framing, interior & exterior finishes, and MEP systems).

  • Must have thorough knowledge of OSHA’s requirements for construction.

  • Must be able to read and decipher construction documents.

  • Must be able to identify quality workmanship as it relates to building codes, industry standards, and contract documents.

  • Must be able to produce, maintain, and direct the project schedule.

  • Familiar with Procore and Microsoft Project scheduling software

  • This position will be a traveling position with opportunities to work at several jobsites in the Southeast.
