The CEI philosophy is simple: Gain the confidence of our clients with honesty and performance and with a partnership attitude. This allows us to grow our business by repeat customers and referrals.
At CEI we believe that we can better serve our clients and our sector of the construction industry by specializing in one small segment of the entire market. By limiting our efforts to mainly housing, we have been successful in building and training a staff of professionals as well as a large array of specialized subcontractors and suppliers. With this force of professionals assembled over the past 30 years, we are in a unique position to assist our clients in all aspects of the housing industry. Due to our many years of experience in market rate, mid-rise, HUD, nursing, assisted living, retirement, student and affordable housing, we can offer our clients valuable assistance in design development and financing as well as construction.
– Bill Landers, CEO
The housing segment of construction is an incredibly challenging industry. It is difficult for general contractors to be successful in housing for a long period of time. Housing differs from other areas of construction in that it brings together extremely large amounts of material to be assembled by small contractors in short intervals. CEI exercises precise control in the flow of materials and schedules of subcontractors to ensure our long-term success.
CEI’s success in the housing market is directly related to our ability to provide a complete team of subcontractors and suppliers with proven performance records. With the precise scheduling that is required, one breakdown in performance by one member of the team not only delays that portion of the project, it disrupts the succeeding activities. Flow and momentum are absolutely essential to the successful outcome of any housing project.
A grave threat in the housing arena is the commodity nature of building materials, with material prices fluctuating daily. While this is usually the downfall of many general contractors, CEI’s experience and strong financial status have allowed us to successfully overcome this obstacle.
Finally, one of our greatest commitments is control of quality. With the fast pace of housing projects, our strong and knowledgeable staff has been absolutely essential in our ability to control the fine details of this type of construction.
